New Generation Ministry Bio

Lloyd and Cathy Vandenberg of New Generation Ministry have been married for 24 years. (July 2009) We travelled with Cathy's Parents (Norm and Joy Phillips of The Phillips Family) for 20 years before stepping out on our own in July 2005, when Norm and Joy went into semi retirement. We've travelled throughout Canada and the United States our entire married life, in full time evangelism. We seek to bring freedom to the church through worship music and testimony/teaching.

Lloyd was/is a licensed mechanic and is now ordained with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada as an evangelist. Lloyd plays the bass guitar, sings tenor/lead, shares his testimony, teaches and preaches.  Favorite food- Reeses peanut butter cups. Favorite movie- Braveheart

Cathy plays the acoustic and electric guitars and sings lead. Favorite food- whatever's healthy and vegetables.

Garrett (14) plays the drums, sings the third part,  and is learning the guitar and some piano. He is learning to be an illusionist/ magician using his talents to minister to children while dad preaches in the main service.

Kirsten (10) sets up the product table, helps take care of our youngest child Elise, and sings and plays with us on a few songs.

Evan (8) helps us set up the equipment. He is a really deep thinker and will someday probably become the president of the USA or Prime-minister of Canada. :)

Elise (2) at the timeof this writing is singing on 2 songs and is such a hit with the audience that we sometimes feel we could leave and just have her sing and people would enjoy it more!

We (New Generation Ministry) travel in our converted bus 8-9 months of the year. This is all we do. We have 6 children. Each is involved in ministry. Deanna (our oldest daughter) is now married,  has finished bible college in North Carolina and is involved in full time ministry. Katelynn is now at Bible college studying missions and ministry. Each of the others travel with the ministry full time. Each child is/was homeschooled.

Our purpose in coming to the church is to show & tell people "There's a better way to live!" We live to see people set free from the bondage of sin and enjoying the freedom found in knowing the person of Jesus Christ.

Our vision, “To bring freedom to people and bring people to freedom.”
